Charles A. Schutterle

Charles A. Schutterle, 78, a resident of the Hiawatha Care Center, died there, Friday, September 23, 2011. There will be no services at this time. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his son, Randy C. Schutterle, of Cedar Rapids; a grandson, Matthew; and a sister, Evelyn Kramer, of Cedar Rapids.
Charles was born on March 1, 1933, the son of Jacob and Frieda Schutterle in rural Benton County. He served in the United States Army. Charles worked for Wilson Packing House for thirty years and the City of Cedar Rapids for ten years. He was a Cub’s Fan all the way.
Instead of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
