Charles Verne Loth “Chuck,” 69, of Anamosa, Iowa, passed away at home following a long illness on Wednesday, August 20, 2014. Services: 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 25, 2014, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, conducted by Rev. Laurie Riley, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial: St. John’s Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his daughters, Patti Loth, Pam (James) Porter and Sherrie (Paul) Collins; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; girlfriend and dear friend, Theresa Heginger; adopted daughter, Ashley and her daughters, Alexis and Anna; siblings, Vi Benicke, Gracie (Roger) Lee and Marilyn (Garlan) Polus; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Norma; and siblings, Larry Loth, Stella Carroll and Leona Glubka.
Chuck was born on February 18, 1945, in Winona, Minnesota, son of Oscar and Helen (Paul) Loth. He worked for Cherry Burrell and Evergreen for 37 years until he retired from there. After retirement he fell in love with Karaoke and had many followers. Chuck was a proud member of the Union. He loved camping, was an avid Hawkeye fan and had a large Elvis and Mickey Mouse collection.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed for the American Heart Association.
