Chuck “Butch” was born June 23, 1945, in Blythe, California, to the late Charles and Hanna Fuchs. He married Barb Vonderhaar on December 27, 1965. They then began their family and had three children, Tommy Fuchs (Pam Waniorek), Patty Muenzenmeyer (Brent) and Terri Burgess (Derik Stauffacher).
Chuck served in the military during the Vietnam War. He then went into sales and continued that until he found his longtime dream and opened a bar. He and Barb opened Tommy’s Tavern in 1988 and Chuck and Dales in 1993. He met many great friends throughout this time.
Chuck loved to spend time at the businesses and seeing all of his friends. He also enjoyed his many vacations he and Barb took. One of his true enjoyments was golf. He loved his weekly golf outing with his close buddies at Wildcat. If he wasn’t doing this he was spending time with his grandkids.
Survivors also include his grandchildren, Ruthie and Chase Muenzenmeyer and Hanna and Jackson Burgess; his sister, Marianne Franks (Rick); and his close friend, Nick Burgess; his sisters-in-law, Joan Northup (Steve), Mary Hoenig (the late Jim Hoenig), Betty Hierstein (Carl), and the late Ruth Eid; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Chuck enjoyed life, his family, and his many friends.
