Charles “Chuck” Leroy Flint, 60, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at The University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa. Visitation: 5 – 8 p.m. Thursday, July 27, 2017, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 28, 2017, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Chuck was born January 21, 1957 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Charles Franklin and Roberta Jean (Freday) Flint. He attended Kennedy High School and Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids and studied business administration. He married Mary H. (Turley) Burgess on February 28, 1998, in Ely, Iowa. He was a lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids and he was an active member and union representative of the Roofers Local #182. Chuck was a commercial roofer and retired from T & K Roofing. He also helped form the Mid-West Viking Club of Cedar Rapids. He was beloved and will be sorely missed.

Chuck is survived by his mother, Roberta Flint of Camdenton, Missouri; father, Charles (Donna) Flint of Delhi, Iowa; three brothers, Christopher (Janice) Flint of Alton, Illinois, Curtis Flint of Camdenton, Missouri, and Craig (Karrie Brown, fiancé) Flint of Vinton, Iowa; two step-sisters, Dawn (Lance) Smeins, and Deanne K. Ross; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Flint.
