Cecil L. Geuther, 69, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at Regional Medical Center in Manchester. Visitation for Cecil will be held, Monday, November 8, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m. at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Manchester. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Earlville, Iowa. Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester is in charge of arrangements.
Cecil was born December 29, 1951, in Pickstown, South Dakota, the son of Lloyd and Mildred (McCormick) Geuther. He graduated from high School and enlisted in the Army. Cecil and Connie were married for 43 years. He worked many years alongside Dave Schulte at Schulte Construction, not only as employee but a loyal friend retiring in 2017. Cecil will be missed not only by his family but by those who he lent a helping hand and expected nothing in return.
Cecil is survived by his wife, Connie; children, Allen (Jen) Geuther, Gerald Sr. (Jessica) Geuther, Matthew (Angie) Geuther, Nicholas (Krista) Geuther; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Rodney, and Allen Geuther; one sister, Shirley Dettman; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Mildred Geuther; daughter, Michelle Marie; brother, Raymond; nieces and nephews; sister-in-law; father and mother-in-law, Basil and Geraldine Heth.
