Cathy L. Wittman, 41 of Manchester, Iowa, died Sunday, July 06, 2008, at St. Lukes Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, after a sudden illness.
Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Edgewood, Iowa by Pastor Mike Jackson. Family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m. ?" 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Manchester and one hour before services Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in the Edgewood Cemetery.
Cathy was born May 1, 1967 in Manchester to Gary and Carol (Kulper) Elliot. Following graduation from Edgewood-Colesburg High School in 1985, she worked at Rockwell-Collins for several years. She was married to Randy Wittman, September 9, 1989. They were later divorced. Cathy graduated from Kirkwood College in Cedar Rapids in 2005. She was currently working at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Cathy was a devoted mother, and was passionate about her family, her job, and helping others.
Cathy is survived by two children; Mitchell Julius Wittman and Stacie Lynn Wittman of Manchester; her parents, Gary & Carol Elliot of Masonville; one sister, Debra (Sean) Hauser of Manchester; one brother, Matthew (Rachel) Elliot of Greeley; maternal grandparents, Lyle & Elizabeth Kulper of Garber; and her former husband, Randy Wittman of Greeley.
Cathy was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Orvis Elliot and Avis Chalder.
