Cathy L. Ankney, 50, of Winslow House, Marion, Iowa, died there Thursday, February 1, 2007, following a lengthy illness. Services: 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 5, 2007, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Rick Gail. The family will greet friends from 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, February 4, 2007, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her sisters, Vickie Yeager of Silvis, Illinois, Robin Ankney of Anaheim, California, Dawn Ankney of Marion, and Jodie Ankney of Marion; her brothers, Randall Ankney of Washington, Iowa, Craig Ankney of Sand Point, Idaho, Jeffrey Ankney of Lake Forest, California and Regis Ankney of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Lyla Ankney.
Cathy was born April 18, 1956, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Leslie and Lyla (Deal) Ankney. For 8 years she was a medical surgical tech in the Mercy Hospital operating room.
A memorial fund has been established.
