Carroll W. Anderson, 77, of Pell City, Alabama, died Friday, August 17, 2007 in Pell City, following a lingering illness.

Graveside services were held on Sunday, August 19, 2007 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Delhi, Iowa, by Rev. Lorraine Hartman. Arrangements were by Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Earlville.

Carroll was born June 24, 1930 in Spillville, Iowa. He began his life of faith at Lincoln Lutheran Church in Ridgeway, where he was baptized and confirmed. Carroll graduated from Oran High School and attended Iowa State Teacher’s College in Cedar Falls. He then went to the Cedar Rapids Barber College to train for his life’s career. Graduating in 1953, Carroll married Margaret Smith in Delhi. The couple spent many years in Waterloo where Carroll worked as a barber and taught at the barber school.

Carroll is survived by his wife, Margaret Anderson of Pell City, AL; three children, Susan (Bob) Arnsdorf; Joan (Curt) Stainbrook and Dr. John Anderson; and grandchildren, Carrie (Adam) Vihil and Hayden, Courtney GIrsch, Eric (Laila) Stainbrook, and Christopher and Elizabeth Anderson; a brother, Iven (Aileen) Anderson; and 35 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister in infancy; a brother, Roger Anderson; son-in-law, John; two nieces and a nephew.
