Carolyn M. Thompson, 73, of Manchester passed away at home, Wednesday, October 30, 2013.
Memorial Services will be held 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 4, 2013 at the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Manchester. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
Carolyn was born November 20, 1939 in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of Vincent and Jenny Belle (Land) Schevers. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School, Keokuk.
On June 21, 1958, Carolyn was united in marriage to Richard E. Thompson.
Carolyn worked for Square D for 33 years. She enjoyed fishing, lived to be on the lake, gardening, her flowers and her dog, Brandy.
Carolyn is survived by two sons, Rick and Michael Thompson of Manchester; two grandchildren, Desiree and Cody Thompson; and two great-grandchildren, Lilyanne Marie and London Kay; two sister, Margaret Kay of Cedar Rapids, and Susie Meader of Manchester.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Richard in 2010; and her parents; and two brothers, Vincent Jr. and Michael Schevers.
