Caroline H. Larkin (Hospodarsky)

Caroline H. Larkin, 96, a resident of the Good Samaritan Home, Omaha, Nebraska, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, February 9, 2008, at the care center, following a short illness. Services: 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2008, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Del Bear. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2008, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include a son, Gary Larkin of Omaha; five grandchildren, Mark (Caroline), Stacy, Kristine, Scott (Tami) and Jennifer (Mike); four great-grandchildren, Ian, Cassie, Lucas and Sarah; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mark; a son, Joel; three sisters, Lillian Crowe, Irene Novak and Eleanor Edgington; and a brother, Edward Hospodarsky.
Caroline was born May 24, 1911, the daughter of Joseph and Frances (Cejp) Hospodarsky, in Johnson County, Iowa. On January 27, 1934, she was united in marriage to Mark Larkin. He died August 30, 2000. Caroline enjoyed making kolaches and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
