Carol A. Reilly, 63, of 161 Redwing Road SW, Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, September 11, 2004, at home of a sudden illness. Services: 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 20, 2004, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Father Richard Ament of St. Jude?s Catholic Church. Friends may call from 2-6 p.m., Sunday, September 19, 2004, at the funeral home. Burial: Spring Grove Cemetery, Covington, Iowa.
Survivors include two sons, Scott (Billie Jo Davis) Reilly and Kevin Reilly, both of Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Marcy (Andrew) Oberbreckling of Mechanicsville; an adopted granddaughter, Kallie Davis; a brother, David M. St. John of Los Angeles, California; a sister and best friend, Joyce (DuWayne) Carter of Cedar Rapids; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; and her parents, Milton and Eleanor Severson.
Carol was born December 22, 1940, in Lansing, Iowa, the daughter of Milton and Eleanor (Menke) Severson. She married Gerald Reilly on March 26, 1960, in Cedar Rapids. He died January 19, 1990. After retiring from Fiserv, she enjoyed working at Stejskal Florist. She loved to play cards, especially Euchre at the Moose Lodge and going to garage sales. Carol enjoyed her home, spending time at her pool and watching T.V. She loved making people laugh.
