Carol Hensch (Waite), 85, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2016, in her home following a short illness. Arrangements made by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Carol was born on October 19, 1930, the daughter of Earl and Dorothy (Adams) Waite in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. On June 30, 1950, she was united in marriage with Derald Hensch in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Survivors include her two daughters, Sheri Leonard and Cindi (Jim) Tippett of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Heather (Brian) Coe of Des Moines, Angie (Casey) Brown, Bryan (April) Tippett of Cedar Rapids, Shelly (Joe) Allison of Lone Tree, Bert Leonard of Denver, Colorado; and great-grandchildren, Ella and Addie Brown, Deeja Coe, Morgan Erickson, Joseline Leonard and Erik Allison.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Derald; parents; two daughters; and her siblings.
Carol worked for McKesson & Robbins, upon her retirement she delivered the Cedar Rapids Gazette and Penny Saver. Carol loved camping, watching Chicago Cubs baseball, college sports and her flower gardens.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2016, at the Moose Lodge, at 1820 West Post Road SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
