Carol Suzzette Camenisch
January 3, 1945 — April 15, 2023
Carol S. (Hagerman) Camenisch, 78, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A celebration of life will be held from 1 until 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Hope Lutheran Church, located at, 2736 Bowling Street SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Carol was born on January 3, 1945, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Roy and Marguerite (Moore) Hagerman. On October 18, 1962, Carol was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” D. Camenisch in Marion. She worked as a lunch lady at Harding Middle School, at TJ’s Ark, Marc’s Big Boy, and pet sitting. Carol enjoyed water aerobics at the Marion YMCA and bowling leagues with Bob. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Carol is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years, Bob; daughter, Tammy (Joseph) Scott of Cedar Rapids; son, Brian Camenisch of South Carolina; brother, Lonnie Hagerman of Cedar Rapids; and grandchildren, Cory Scott, Bobbi Jo Scott, Branden Camenisch, and Juston Camenisch.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Janice Dales, and Debbie Hoppe; and one brother, Jerry Hagerman.
Carol and her sisters were very close, and they are now rejoicing together in paradise.
