Carl E. Paisley

Carl E. Paisley, 89, of 2917 Juhl Drive N.E., Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, March 9, 2003, at St. Luke?s Hospital of respiratory failure. Memorial Services: 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Rev. Michael Frey of Calvary Baptist Church. Friends may call from noon until service time. Entombment: Murdoch-Linwood Mausoleum, Cedar Rapids.
Surviving is his wife, Virginia, of 56 years. He is also survived by his extended family, Rosemary (Lee) Hahn, Nadene (John) Roberts and many nieces and nephews.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Charley and Stella Snider Paisley; and a sister, Hester Roberts.
Carl was born February 17, 1914, in Lafe, Arkansas. In 1947 he married Virignia Jones in Pickett, Arkansas. He was employed for 10 years by Elder Manufacturing Company, Dexter, Missouri. In 1955, he moved to Cedar Rapids and was employed as labor superintendent, local 43, for Bechtel Corporation until his retirement in 1976. He was a member of Masonic Lodge, 153 FM and AM of Bloomfield, Missouri. He accepted the Lord in 1995.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for Calvary Baptist Church retirees group.
