Candy L. Sinnwell, 37, of 1798 Elizabeth Drive, Marion, died Thursday, January 20, 2005, in University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, Iowa City, following a 3-year battle with cancer. Services: 1 p.m. Sunday, January 23, 2005, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, by the Rev. Del Bear. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 - 4 p.m. today (Saturday.) Burial will be at a later date.
Survivors include her husband, Bob; twin daughters, Keira and Angebreea, both at home; a stepson, Cory Sinnwell of Cedar Rapids; her mother, Barbara Jones of Marion; a sister, Shawn (Tony) Hodge of Fort Campbell, Kentucky; a brother, Jack (Donna) Burns of Petersburg, Indiana; her mother-in-law, Velma Sinnwell of Cedar Rapids; her brother-in-law, Richard Green of Cedar Rapids; many loving family members and friends; and her loving cat, Rotney.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clayton Jones.
Candy was born on January 19, 1968, the daughter of Clayton H. and Barbara King Jones in Scottsburg, Indiana. She and Bob Sinnwell were united in marriage on August 18, 2003, in Cedar Rapids. Candy served three years of active duty with the U.S. Navy in Alaska and six years with the Navy Reserves. She was employed at Econofoods in Marion for five years and also worked part time at Dumas?s Bar & Grill.
