Candace Zierath, 48, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, went home to be with the Lord on October 18, 2016. Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 21, 2016, at the First Church of the Open Bible, 1911 E Avenue NW, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2016, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 520 Wilson Avenue SW, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
She is survived by her parents, Robert and Peggy; sister, Sondra (Kathy) Dunham; nieces and nephews, Whitney, Courtney, Brittany, Tyler, Kieler; great nieces Briella, Alex, Alythia; and great nephew, Marcus.
Candace is preceded in death by her grandparents, Harold and Neva Baehne, Lloyd and Evelyn Zierath; and cousin India Esser.
Candace was born on April 26, 1968, in Cedar Rapids to Robert and Peggy (Baehne) Zierath. Candace was a big fan of the Chicago Cubs. She began her battle with cancer on October 18, 2011 and after 5 years to the day, she is now at peace.
