Cameron D. Breitbach, 39, of Marion, died Monday, April 21, 2014, in Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral Mass: 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marion. The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, with a vigil service beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Survivors include his parents, Eldon and Mary Breitbach; son, Cole Breitbach; brother, Chad (Molly) Breitbach; sister, Tina (Randy) Heideman; nieces and nephews, Haelea, Austin, Myranda, Clay, Olivia, and Jaxson; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Cam was born September 30, 1974, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Eldon and Mary (Higgins) Breitbach. He graduated from Linn Mar High School in 1993. Cam was a proud member of Iron Workers Local 89 for 15 years and was most recently working for Union Pacific Railroad. He was a fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Dallas Cowboys, the St. Louis Cardinals, and also enjoyed hockey. Cam loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and snow skiing. He was a wonderful friend and enjoyed socializing and spending time out with all of his friends. Cam was a loving father and enjoyed spending time with his son, Cole.
