C.R. "Sandy? Hunter, 73, of Center Point, died Saturday, November 9, 2002, in her home, following a long illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2002, at First Christian Church, Center Point, by the Rev. John Caughron. Burial: Center Point Cemetery, Center Point. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 11, 2002, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point.
Survivors included her children, Freida Aldrich and husband Dale, Lisa Lala and husband Mike, Randy Hunter, all of Center Point, and Darryl Hunter and wife Nancy of Lake Forest, Illinois; ten grandchildren, Scott Hunter, Candice Hunter King, Chad Hunter, DeAnna Aldrich Arellano, Deidre Aldrich Hamlett, Danielle Aldrich, Aaron Hunter, Vanessa Hunter, Michelle Lala and Michael Lala; five great-grandchildren, Manual Arellano III, OnaLee Arellano, Arianna Hunter, Lily Hunter and Kaitlyn Hamlett; and a sister, Mary Wendland of Wacoma, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Freddie; a sister, Crystal Stoneking; and a great-grandson, Joshua Arellano.
Sandy was born July 29, 1929, the daughter of Clarence and Crystal (Henderickson) Chismore, in Coggon, Iowa. On September 16, 1950, she was united in marriage to Freddie James Hunter at Center Point, Iowa. He died March 10, 1995. Sandy worked at Collins Radio for many years and later at Square D, retiring in 1976. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Center Point, Antique Auto Club of America, and Hawk "A? Model A Club. Her memories will be treasured by all of her family and friends.
