C. Willard "Bud? Jacobs, 91, a resident of Silver Pines, formerly of Walker, died Friday, August 27, 2004, at St. Luke?s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a long illness. Services: 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 30, 2004, at the Walker Bible Church, by the Rev. Clinton Jeffers. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. today (Sunday) at the church and one hour before the service on Monday. Burial: Walker Cemetery, Walker. Arrangements with Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Elsie; three sons, Richard (Karen) Jacobs of Cedar Rapids, Harold (Sherry) Jacobs of Independence and Keith (Verena) Jacobs of Swisher; a daughter, Linda (Ron) Coleman of Kansas City, Missouri; ten grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lillian Forrester and Wanda Young; two brothers, Lawrence Jacobs and Lyle Jacobs; and two great-granddaughters, Mackenzie Jacobs and Chrissie Pilcher.

Willard was born March 28, 1913, the son of John and May Beckler Jacobs, in Marengo, Iowa. On March 7, 1936, he was united in marriage to Elsie Barnett in Marengo. Willard farmed in the Marengo area until 1953, when he bought the farm in Walker and farmed there until his retirement. He was a member of the Walker Bible Church, Linn County Farm Bureau and Linn Co-op.
