Bruce Edward Enos, 63, of rural Springville, died, Sunday, June 8, 2008, following a courageous battle with lung cancer. Services: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, by Pastor Jack Ray. The family will greet friends from 4 - 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial: Dunkard Cemetery, Toddville, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife, Roxanne; 7 children, Melody (Mark) Bryner, Christine O’Connor, Suzanne Buresh, Jennifer Enos, Staci (Travis) Mysak, Melissa Enos and Duane Enos; his siblings, Paula (Rudy) Ashbacher, Jerry (Marilyn) Enos, Keith Enos, Virginia (Vern) Sebetka, and Paul (Karen) Enos; a brother-in-law, Roland Zerba; 4 grandchildren, Megan Quigley, Ashley Brown, Alaina Mysak and Andrea Mysak; and 1 great-grandson, Joseph Brown.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Bruce Jr., 1 sister, Karen Zerba and 3 brothers, Dale, Duane and Kevin Enos.
Bruce was born June 6, 1945 the son of Paul and Gladys (Baker) Enos, in Des Moines, Iowa. He married Roxanne Thomas on June 26, 1991 in the “Little Brown Church”. Bruce was in concrete construction for over 45 years, the last 25 years as the owner and operator of Enos Brother’s Concrete Construction Inc. He loved his family, the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Chicago Cubs.
