Brian E. Trapp, 58, of Delhi, died Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at home. A Scripture Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 18, 2015, at Clifton Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Earlville, where family will greet friends from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Brian was born July 14, 1957, in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, the son of Herb and Millie (Kuwitzky) Trapp. He was a graduate of Western Dubuque High School. On September 12, 1981, Brian married Barbara Bonnett, of Dubuque, Iowa. Prior to his illness, Brian was a plant manager with Mills Manufacturing, in Earlville, Iowa. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, served as mayor and Earlville city council member, and was a member of Delhi Volunteer Fire Department. Brian’s hobbies included classic cars, planes and vintage trains. He enjoyed playing in bands, working in his man cave, camping, traveling, and entertaining people. Brian had a passion for animals. He enjoyed fixing small engines, coaching football, and soccer. He also enjoyed driving school bus. But most of all Brian loved spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Trapp of Delhi; his daughter Torri Trapp of Cedar Rapids; brothers, Scott (Sue) Trapp of Florida, Bruce (Judy) Trapp of Manchester, Chris (Julie) of Minnesota; sisters-in-law, Lyn Behrens, Laurie George, Vickie Pluemer, all of Dubuque; father-in-law, Wayne Bonnett also of Dubuque; and many nieces and nephews.
Brian was preceded in death by his parents; and his mother-in-law, Lois Bonnett.
