Brian “Keith” Berry, 59, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024, at his home. Private family services will be held at a later date. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion is assisting the family.
Keith was born on October 27, 1964, in Norfolk, Virginia, the son of Earl and Norma (Bagley) Berry. He was a graduate of Great Bridge High School and went on to attend Tidewater Community College, Old Dominion University, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Keith's career as a Radiologic Technologist took him to many places, including Boston, Minnesota, Florida, and eventually, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was first hired by UnityPoint in Cedar Rapids as a traveler. In 2015, Keith found his home in Iowa and was hired as a Supervisor in the Vascular Interventional Lab. He was very proud of his recent role in helping to plan and develop the new Vascular Interventional Lab at UnityPoint. Keith was extremely knowledgeable and his clinical expertise was highly respected by physicians and staff. He had a great passion for patient care and went over and above to ensure they were well cared for. Keith was a leader, a colleague, and a friend to many. When thinking about Keith, the phrase "never met a stranger" comes to mind, for he truly was a friend to everyone he met. Keith's other passion was the outdoors. He loved boating, hiking, and tending to his flowers and plants. As difficult as it is, to sum up Keith's character in a paragraph or two, it is easy to say he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Keith is survived and lovingly remembered by his brother, Brad Berry (Anna Zhai) of Chesapeake, Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
