Brent Lee Willcoxson
November 28, 1959 — April 24, 2021
Brent Lee Willcoxson, 61, of Urbana, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa. Per Brent’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Private inurnment will take place in Bloomfield Cemetery, Bloomfield, Iowa. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion is assisting the family.
Brent was born on November 28, 1959, in Bloomfield, Iowa, the son of Robert and Jane Ann (Hastings) Willcoxson. He graduated from Linn-Mar High School in 1978. On February 15, 2006, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Brent was united in marriage to Jerry Dirks Hess. Brent worked installing floor covering and then as a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Jerry Willcoxson of Center Junction, Iowa; friend, Teresa Barnhart of Urbana; stepsons, Samuel and Kristohpher Hess of Center Junction; stepdaughter, Jennifer Hess of Stanfield, Oregon; brother, Bryan (Tammy) Willcoxson of Princeton, Minnesota; sister, Julie (Rhonda) Willcoxson-Morse of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; and a half-sister, Sue Miller of Missouri.
Brent was preceded in death by his parents.
