Bonnie W. Hackert, 75, of 972 6th Street, Marion, died Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at St. Luke?s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, following a short illness. Services: 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 20, 2007, at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Marion, by Rev. Mike Morgan. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. The family will greet friends Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include two daughters, Robin Jones (Randy) of Cedar Rapids, Diane Morris and Phillip of Marion; a son, John Hackert (Jolene) of Marion; and a sister-in-law, Marge Davin of Marion.

Also surviving are five grandchildren, Cory, Ryan, Erin, Andy and Allison; and her faithful and loving dog, Bud.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bob.

Bonnie was born the daughter of Milo and Alberta Brundidge on September 19, 1931, in Vinton. On October 24, 1952, in Marion, she was married to Robert E. "Bob? Hackert. He died August 25, 2006. Bonnie worked at Wilson?s and at Newton Jewelry Store, both in Cedar Rapids. In early years, she was a Sunday school teacher at First United Methodist Church in Marion and enjoyed baby sitting in her home for thirty years. Bonnie was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxillary Post 298 and served as Past President.

Bonnie loved camping, gardening and going to garage sales. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, who will be greatly missed.

A memorial fund has been established in Bonnie?s memory.
