Bonnie L. Gentry, 81, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Friday, November 15, 2013, at her home. Services: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Pastor Tim Carter. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 pm Monday, November 18, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Charles; two sons, David Stuber of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Scott Gentry of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two brothers, Frank Spencer of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Jim Spencer of Whittington, Illinois; sister, Betty Graviette of Opdyke, Illinois; and special friends, Janet Kuenne of Saint Lucas, Illinois, Pam Cook, Margaret Whitlatch and Holly Phan, all of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Peggy, Pauline, Wanda, Ruby and Frances.
Bonnie was born January 25, 1932, the daughter of Frances and Eulah (Spencer) Spencer, in Whittington, Illinois. On July 18, 1958, she was united in marriage to Charles Gentry in Cedar Rapids. Bonnie enjoyed camping, fishing and playing yahtzee. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
