Bonnie M. Bower, 80, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016, at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, Iowa. Service: 11 a.m. Friday, August 12, 2016, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point. Visitation: one hour prior to service, at the funeral home. Burial: Center Point Cemetery, Center Point.

Survivors include her husband, David of Cedar Rapids; sons, Rodney Bower of Waterloo, Iowa, and Vincent (Natalie) Bower of Cedar Rapids; and grandchildren, Deanna Bower and Austyn Bower.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dean Swett and Harold Swett; and sisters, Mary Malcolm and Thelma Puff.

Bonnie was born on February 2, 1936, in Tabor, Iowa, daughter of Silas and Ada (Grosse) Swett. She graduated from Tabor School District and later from teachers college at Wayne State College. Bonnie married David on June 28, 1959 in Tabor. She was a member of Country Wives of Center Point and Center Point United Methodist Church. Bonnie loved camping and going to the casino but she especially loved spending time with her family.

A memorial fund has been established and may be mailed to the funeral home at P.O. Box 324, Center Point, Iowa 52213.
