Bob M. Maly
October 28, 1909 — December 4, 2002
Bohuslav "Bob? M. Maly, 93, of 6916 Kent St. NE, Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, December 4, 2002, at St. Luke?s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, after a sudden illness. Memorial services will be at a later date in California. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Robert P. Maly and wife Sally of Fresno, California, and a daughter, Hana Lori Verdeck of Cedar Rapids; and a daughter-in-law, Katherine Maly of Wellesley, Massachusetts.
Also surviving are nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; and a son, George Maly who died February, 21, 2001.
Bob was born in the Czech Republic on October 28, 1909. He married Martha Belle Stulc, a native of Dubuque, Iowa, on June 2, 1934, in Czechoslovakia. She died August 20, 1997. The family came to the Cedar Rapids area in 1948 and settled near many relatives. Bob was employed by Rockwell Collins for 36 years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Marion.
