Blaze Ryker Kimpton, son of William and Falon Kimpton, of 1501 Bever Avenue S.E., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, took steps to heaven Sunday, December 7, 2008, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Services: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Pastor Don McGarvey. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his parents, William and Falon; brothers, Jacob, Logan and Nick Kimpton of Cedar Rapids; sister, Joni Kimpton of Cedar Rapids; maternal grandmother, Sherry Grulkey of Coggon; paternal grandmother, Joann Kimpton of Cedar Rapids; paternal grandfather, George Welch of Cedar Rapids; maternal grandfather, Kenneth Grulkey, Jr. of Coggon; maternal great grandmother, Lorretta Simmons of Coggon; and many aunts and uncles.
Blaze was preceded in death by his paternal great grandmother, Mary Margaret Lammers.
A memorial fund has been established in Blaze’s memory.
