Blair E. Burke, 22, of 1136 22nd Avenue S.W., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Sunday, June 22, 2008, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, as the result of a car accident. Services: 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 26, 2008, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her mother, Shelley Crumes of Cedar Rapids; her father, Jerry (Carol) Burke of Newburn, Tennessee; maternal grandparents, Paul and Avis Crumes of Cedar Rapids; paternal grandfather, Jerry Burke, Sr. of Ft. Dodge; paternal grandmother, Marcella Estes of Phoenix, Arizona; many aunts, uncles and cousins; numerous friends including her best friend, Ronn; and pets, her Chihuahua Lola, her cat Jake and her parrott Sujo.
Blair was born March 2, 1986, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Shelley Crumes and Jerry Burke. In 2004, she graduated from Jefferson High School and then from Kirkwood Community College. Blair was a personal shopper at Nordstrom.
Blair enjoyed participating in the Band of Blue at Jefferson High School.
