Beverly Jeanne Zacek

Bev Zacek of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died December 31, 2015, at Living Center West. Per Bev’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Private inurnment will take place at the Linwood Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements made by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include three daughters, Lynne (Bob) Zeman of Solon, Iowa, Cindy (David) Whisler of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Sherry ( Ron) Renoux of Richland, Iowa; grandchildren, Jereme (Laura) Hardy, Jennifer (Rico) Chin, Nick Whisler, Mike Whisler, Kathryn Whisler, Margaret (Barry) Green; great grandchildren, Hannah Chin, Jack Hardy and one on the way, and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gene; sister, Helen Tucker; grandson Andrew Renoux and great-granddaughter Ariana Chin.

Beverly Jeanne Martin was born July 18, 1927 to Adair Martin and Lena Prause in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Bev married Gene F. Zacek on February 4, 1950 and they celebrated 59 years of marriage until his death on August 28, 2009.
