Beverly Workman

Beverly Workman, 84, of Mt. Vernon, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. Private family services will be held at a later date. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion, Iowa is assisting the family.
Beverly was born on August 8, 1937, in Guttenberg, Iowa, the daughter of Barney and Ione (Barnhart) Stoeffler. She was a 1955 graduate of Marion High School in Marion, and graduated from Mt. Mercy with a Nursing Degree. On January 9, 1960, Beverly was united in marriage to Nyle Workman, in Marion. She worked for the Springville Community School as the school nurse until retiring in 1997. Beverly was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church in Springville and a member of the Wapsi Country Club for 50 years. She enjoyed golfing and fishing. Beverly loved spending time with her friends and family, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Beverly is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband of 61 years, Nyle Workman of Mt. Vernon; three children, Mark (Sue) Workman of Macungie, Pennsylvania, Scott Workman of Springville, and Ann (Brent) Brase of Mt. Vernon; and seven grandchildren, Seth and Sam Workman, Trent Workman, and Ella, Owen, Evan, and Nora Brase.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister-in-law, Jo Workman.
