Beverly Ann (Borwick) Weltha, 86, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022. A private family inurnment will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion is assisting the family.

Beverly was born on a farm near Roland, Iowa, and graduated from Roland Consolidated High School, where she played basketball and was very active in band and vocal music. After graduation, she worked in the office of a Roland business. Beverly married Staff Sergeant Duane Weltha in Roland, and lived with him in Ft. Worth, Texas, until his discharge at Carswell Air Force Base. Beverly was at home raising her family and doing volunteer church work until accepting a position as a receptionist at First Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids, which she held until retirement. Beverly was an active charter member of Ascension Lutheran Church. She enjoyed singing, her family, grandkids, great-grandkids, and in-laws.

Beverly is survived by her daughter, LeAnn (Michael) Arnold of Marion; son, Kendon (Ranie) Weltha of Marion; grandchildren, Brenna (Matthew) Fall of Ely, Iowa, Shannon (Adam) Buchholz of Ankeny, Iowa, Lauren (Kevin) McGill of Grimes, Iowa, and Sara Bearrows (Tom Fernandez) of Palo, Iowa; great-grandchildren, Nile and Kellen Fall, Brooklyn, Nolan, and London Buchholz, Hannah and Maxwell McGill, and Henry Lockard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Porter and Ora Borwick; and husband of 66 years, Duane Weltha; and five sisters, Ione Jurgensen, Pearl Duncan, Myrtle Riddle, Lorraine Hoops, and Irene Hansen.

Memorials in Beverly’s memory may be made to Ascension Lutheran Church of Marion.
