Beverly J. Carlisle, 66, of 917 F Avenue NW, Cedar Rapids, died Friday, November 26, 2004, in her home, following a long illness. Memorial Service: 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 29, 2004, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Pastor David Bissell. Burial: Southside Cemetery, Bloomfield, Iowa, at a later date.
Survivors include her children, Cynthia (Darrel) Lee of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Jeffrey Carlisle, Tina (David Achenbach) Carlisle, Tamela Jones and Brenda (Ron) Daniel, all of Cedar Rapids; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; a brother, Don Murrell of Portage, Indiana; a sister, JoAnne Brown of Orlando, Florida; her brother-in-law, James (Patricia) Carlisle of Bloomfield; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, John.
Beverly was born May 28, 1938, the daughter of Orville and Alta Collier Murrell, in Centerville, Iowa. On September 3, 1955, she was united in marriage to John Carlisle in Centerville. He died April 25, 2001. A homemaker, Beverly enjoyed going to garage sales, flea markets, and auctions and collecting many things. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Cedar Rapids.
