Beverly Loveless, of Marion, died Sunday, January 4, 2009, at Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, following a short illness. Services: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 8, 2009, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion by Pastor Cecil Ballard. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, LeRoy “Duke” Loveless of Marion; sons, Steven (Mary) Sykora of Key West, Florida and Ken (Jennifer) Sykora of Tucson, Arizona; step-sons, Terry (Laura) Loveless of Marion and Doug (Renata) Loveless of Marion; grandchildren, Amber Hodge, Jillian, Chelsey, and Matthew Sykora; step-grandchildren, Terry and Becky Loveless, Keyia, Jae, and Kayse Loveless; and great-grandsons, Wyley and Zeke.

Also surviving are sisters, Carol (Darrell) Vrchoticky, Phyllis (Ray) King, and Sandy Hamilton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Barb Johnson; and her step-son, Steven Loveless.

Beverly was born August 4, 1936, the son of Herbert and Jenny (Carter) Brown in Rochester, Indiana. On March 15, 1969, she married LeRoy “Duke” Loveless in North Liberty. Beverly worked as a secretary for Evergreen Packaging for twenty-four years. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Marion.

Beverly will be missed for her sense of humor, sense of family, and her love of life. Her legacy will live on in our memories and our hearts.
