Beulah I. Power, 88, formerly of Central City, died Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Crestview Acres, Marion. Services: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012 at First United Methodist Church, Central City, by Pastor Joshua Hansen. The family will greet friends 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2012 at the Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Central City. Burial: Prairieburg Boulder Cemetery, Prairieburg, Iowa.
Survivors include her children, Donna (Trumen) Hanson of Ryan, Derral Power of Coggon, Donald (Patsy) Power of Olin, Colleen (Ron) Kula of Prairieburg, and Marlene (Joe) Nagel of Central City; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her three sisters, Betty Stimpson of Anamosa, Onie Gallie of Cedar Rapids, and Connie (L.C.) Howe of Central City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ike; son, Virgil Power; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Power; grandson, Shawn Power; sisters, Wilma Kellogg and Donna Jones; and brothers, William Hagerman Jr. and Ronnie Hurst.
Beulah was born April 29, 1923 in rural Coggon, Iowa, the daughter of William and Bessie (Taylor) Hagerman. She was married to Lauren “Ike” Power May 21, 1940 in Manchester.
