Betty June Vanwinkle (Bishop)

Betty June VanWinkle, 84, of 1236 Eisenhower Rd., died Sunday, November 19, 2006, at Northbrook Manor Care Center, following a brief illness. Services: 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 24, 2006, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial: Ainsworth Cemetery, Ainsworth, Iowa.
Survivors include three children, Larry (Evelyn) VanWinkle of Corpus Christy, Texas, Linda VanWinkle of Quincy, Illinois, and Laura (Wayne) Fuller of Coggon; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Francis.
Betty was born June 26, 1922, the daughter of Virgil and Emma (Bishop) McMillen in Deshler, Ohio. On November 2, 1941, she married Charles W. VanWinkle. He died January 19, 1998. She was a member of the Friendly Garden Club, Federated Women?s Club, and a fifty year member of Pythian Sisters. Betty loved to crochet and read.
