Betty Rosell, 86, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, January 11, 2012. Services: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids, by Rev. David Miller. Family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2012, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial: St. Stephens Cemetery, Atkins, Iowa.
Survivors include her children, William Rosell and Christin (Paul Huenemann) Rosell, both of Cedar Rapids; and grandson, Ross Huenemann.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and sister, Ruth Vogel.
Betty was born December 1, 1925, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Parkan) Stourac, in Cedar Rapids. She married Charles Rosell. Betty was an administrative assistant for Skogman homes for 30 years. She was an active member of the Cedar Rapids Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association. Betty enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, needlework, gardening and dining out.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Betty.
