Betty Bischof, 79, of 4300 Mt. Vernon Rd., SE, died Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids following a short illness.
Funeral services: 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 19, 2007 at the Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Lloyd Brockmeyer. Family will greet friends: 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial: Campbell Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Betty is survived by three children, Rick Bischof of Cedar Rapids, Vicky (Jesse) Jaramillo of Colorado Springs, CO and Holly (Mark) Bierschenk of Shellsburg; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Ada Clark of Cedar Rapids, Millie Peplinski of Winona, MN and Maxine Johnson of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her husband Norman, Sr.; a son, Norman, Jr.; a sister; and an infant brother.
Betty was born June 26, 1928 in Independence, the daughter of Frank and Margaret (Fogle) Midkiff. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
A memorial fund has been established in Betty’s name.
