Betty Jean Marchal, 85, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Friday, July 7, 2017, at Winslow House in Marion, Iowa. Per Betty’s wishes, there will be no services. Inurnment: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Betty was born May 26, 1932, in Garrison, Iowa, the daughter of C.C. and Susie (Arthur) Gordon. She married Wayne Marchal on July 31, 1971, in Cedar Rapids. Betty worked at Farmstead Foods for 23 years and as a department head at Younkers for 10 years. She enjoyed crocheting, traveling, camping, gardening, and collecting figurines.
Betty is survived by her husband, Wayne; son, Donald Westcott; grandchildren, Donald Jr. and Lorriane; step-sons, Dave, Dale, and Steve Marchal; brother, Theron Gordon; and many nieces and nephews.
