Betty Sue Kline

Betty Sue Kline, 81, of Central City, formerly of Nichols, died Sunday, October 16, 2005, at home, following a sudden illness. Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 20, 2005, at Lone Tree Cemetery, conducted by Carol Kaalberg. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Central City.
Survivors include her son, William F. Kline and wife Helen; two grandchildren, Mike (Nancy) Kline of Iowa City and Kathy (Randy) Soldwisch of North Liberty; and six great-grandchildren, Jackie Duncan, Jared and Sarah Kline, and Benjamin, Madison, and Emma Soldwisch.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck; two sisters, Helen Lange and Faye Kerchill; and two grandchildren, Suzanne Duncan and Debra Kline.
Betty was born February 25, 1924, the daughter of Charles and Erma (Phillips) Torrence in Mt. Vernon. On September 1, 1940, she married Bernard (Chuck) Kline in Mt. Vernon. He died July 20, 1988. Betty was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Central City.
