Betty Lou Hill, 68, of 1102 C Avenue NW, Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, December 19, 2006, in her home, following a sudden illness. Services: 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 22, 2006, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. William Harnish. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 21, 2006, at the funeral home. Burial: 2:00 p.m. Friday, Oak Hill Cemetery, Lansing, Iowa.
Survivors include her children, Judy (Randy) Hill, Pam (John) Dvorak, Tracy (Patrick) Hardy, Bonnie (Dan) Bergstrom, Linda Hill, Billie Jo (Pete) Hill, Terry Hill, Lisa (Dave) Hill, all of Cedar Rapids and Brenda (Darryl) Rowzer of Florida; 22 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six sisters, Mary Jensen of Garwin, Iowa, JoAnn Murray of Marshalltown, Iowa, Barb Dighton, Dianne Floyd, Donna Loney and Deborah Worrall, and a brother, Dave Anderson, all of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd Hill; and three brothers, Fred Anderson, Jr., John Anderson and Eddie Anderson.
Betty Lou was born April 24, 1938, the daughter of Hans "Fred? and Cecelia (Franklin) Anderson, in Iowa City, Iowa. In 1957, she was united in marriage to Floyd Hill in Cedar Rapids. He died in 1996. A homemaker, Betty Lou enjoyed bingo, gambling, cards and was an Elvis fan.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Betty Lou.
