Betty L. Cowgur

Betty L. Cowgur, 74, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Heritage Nursing & Rehab Center, Cedar Rapids. There will be private family services. Burial will be held at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, at a later date. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Betty was born April 18, 1942, in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of George Cowgur and Bernice Kessler. She graduated in 1960, from Jefferson High School, Cedar Rapids. Betty used her clerical skills while working in the offices at Rockwell Collins and Amana Refrigeration. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids. Betty enjoyed playing cards and always loved a good book.
Betty in survived by her sister Elaine Cowgur of Cedar Rapids and her many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
