Betty L. Clark, 65, of 811 18th Street SE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away, Thursday, June 28, 2007, following a long illness. Services: 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2007, at Life Line Ministries, Cedar Rapids, by Elder Tim Pridgeon. The family will greet friends from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2007, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Samuel; her children, Terry (Monica) Wilson, Kevin (Sandrea) Wilson, and Linley Wilson; A sister, Sarah Hobbs; three brothers, Leon Smith, Bill Smith and Bruce Smith; six grandchildren, Neandra and Nedra Bland, Malik Wilson, Chelsea and Zachary Mitchem and Tory Wilson;
Survivors also include many wonderful nieces, nephews and cousins; Special friends, Sister Betty Johnson, Minister Marilyn Jenkins and beloved god-daughter Jade Stafford.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lena Smith; and two brothers, Jewel Smith and Al-Amin Hunafa.
Betty was born March 11, 1942, in Bowling Green, Missouri. Betty was married to Samuel Clark on April 15, 1981, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A graduate of Mount Mercy College, Betty taught at Jane Boyd Community House for 20 years. Betty touched the lives of many people and will be truly missed by all her family and friends.
