Betty Ann Beauregard, 80, of Central City, died Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at Jones Regional Medical Center in Anamosa. Memorial Service: 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 22, 2011 at Murdoch Funeral Home in Central City. Family will greet friends from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, August 21, at the funeral home. Burial: Mt. Clark Cemetery, at a later date.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Beauregard; children, Robert (Vanessa) Beauregard of Cedar Rapids, Russell (Sharon) Beauregard of Central City, Mark (Dedra) Beauregard of Central City, Diane (Kevin) Kurth of Monticello, and David (Kellie) Beauregard of Glenburn, North Dakota; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a half-sister, Alice (Randy) Getchel of MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Bob Phillips and Doris Matthews.
Betty was born July 8, 1931, in Central City, the daughter of Douglas K. and Phyllis E. (Phelps) Phillips. On March 15, 1952, Betty was united in marriage to Kenneth Beauregard at Central City United Methodist Church. Betty was a member of the United Methodist Church in Central City and the American Legion Auxiliary.
A memorial fund has been established in Betty’s honor.
