Bernice R. Clarke, 84, died December 18, 2014, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Service: 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 22, 2014, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, by Rev. Bill Harnish. The family will greet friends Sunday, December 21, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Bernice Rose Clarke was born May 3, 1930, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to her parents George W. and Lulu May (Shirley) Huggins. She married Robert C. Clarke, Sr., on April 22, 1948. He died in 1994.
Bernice is survived by her children, Harold (Barb) Clarke, Kathy (Vern) McMurray, Robert, Jr., (Glena) Clarke, Helen (Chuck) Marsh; daughter-in-law Deanna Dains; her grandchildren, Travis Clarke, Heather (Mark) Kjormoe, Amber Clarke, Kendra (Steve) Hobart, Becky Gorsh, Mike (Chris) McMurray, Blaine (Alyssa) Clarke, Matthew (Paula) Clarke, Megan (Wes) Clarke, Tori (Cody) Clarke, Chrystal (Carl) Dains, Shoady Clarke, Joshua Clarke, Tabitha (Stan) Clarke, Hayley (Jordan) Payne, Dakota (Scott) Marsh; 26 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert, Sr.; two daughters, Margaret Clarke and Roberta Gorsh; one son, Randy Clarke; three brothers; and one sister.
