Beau Ryan Bender

Beau Ryan Bender, infant son of Ryan and Stefanie (Schamberger) Bender, of Boynton Beach, Florida, formerly of Marion, was born April 23, 2009 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, and was taken to Heaven by angels on April 24, 2009. Services: 1:00 pm Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion. The family will greet friends from 11:00 am until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Beau’s family kindly requests that guests wear colors other than black to help their thoughts to remain colorful. Private family burial will take place at Armah Cemetery in North English.
In addition to his heart-broken parents, Beau is survived by his grandparents, John and Cindy Bender, Mike and Sandi McDonough, and Steve and Cindi Schamberger, all of Marion; great-grandparents, Robert and Mary Alice Levi, and Vi Schamberger, all of Cedar Rapids, Jim and Darlene Mollenhauer of Marion, Lee Andersen of Oskaloosa, Maxine Bender of Keswick, and Gerald Jacobs of Des Moines; and aunts and uncles, Ben, Curt and Baili Schamberger, Kellie, Meghan and Matthew McDonough, and Rod and Betsy Pieres. Beau is also survived by many other loving family members and friends.
Beau was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Mary Jacobs, and his great-grandfathers, Lawrence Bender and George Schamberger.
Although Beau’s time on earth was brief, he could not have been more loved. Mom and Dad grew especially close to Beau over the last nine months, getting to know his ways and to love him as their beautiful son.
In lieu of flowers, cards and donations may be directed to Ryan and Stefanie Bender. A memorial fund will be established in Beau’s memory.
