Beatrice Coleman Bross

Beatrice Coleman Bross, 82, a resident of Monticello Nursing & Rehab Center, died Monday, March 14, 2005, at St. Luke?s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Funeral Mass: 11 a.m. Thursday, March 17, 2005, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion by Rev. John Gossman. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial: Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include two sisters, Lorraine (Roger) Robertson of Central City and Doris (Don) Schminke of Council Bluffs; nine nephews, Ronald, Russell, Terry, Dean, Kenneth, Jerry, Dennis, Marshal and Tom; three nieces, Denise, Linda and Karen; a step-son, Terry (Sue) Baird of Maryland; and several other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Milton Holub and Lavern "Jack? Bross; three brothers, Raymond, Kenneth, and J.C.; two nephews, John and Doug; and a niece, Kathy.
Beatrice was born May 8, 1922, the daughter of Harry and Josephine (Clark) Coleman in Ryan. She attended Teachers College in Cedar Falls. Beatrice married Milton Holub in 1956, he died in 1970. She married Lavern "Jack? Bross in 1976, he died in 2001. Beatrice worked for Copper Construction for many years as a bookkeeper.
