Audrey L. Bushnell, 90, of Manchester, Iowa, died Saturday, November 4, 2017. Visitation: 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 13, 2017, at Cornerstone Community Church, Manchester, Iowa, with Funeral Services beginning at 11 a.m., conducted by Rev. Randy Pospisil. Burial: Oakland Cemetery, Manchester. Arrangements by Bohnenkamp - Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester.
Audrey was born August 20, 1927, in Manchester, Iowa, the daughter of Ralph and Elva (Dennis) Zehr. She was a graduate of Manchester High School and St. Luke’s School of Nursing. On March 21, 1951, Audrey married Burton L. Bushnell in Manchester. Audrey worked for Delaware County Memorial Hospital and assisted her husband, Burt, in the office of his veterinarian practice. Audrey was a member of First Baptist Church, Living Hope Evangelical Free Church, Manchester Country Club, and Christian Women’s Club. Audrey served as church organist for many years. She enjoyed playing piano, crocheting afghans for friends and family, and caring for wildlife around their home.
Audrey is survived by her children, Dru Bushnell of Manchester, Cyd (Bushnell) Budish of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Bret Bushnell of Manchester; grandchildren, David Bushnell, Mark (Justine) Bushnell, Amy (Brian) Wrobel, Nathan (Danielle) Budish, and Jason (Kaitlin) Budish; great-grandchildren, Finn Wrobel, Reese Wrobel, Burke Wrobel, Adelyn Budish, Brooklyn Budish; a sister, Anita Barger; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Elva Zehr; her husband, Burton Bushnell; and a son-in-law, Brian Budish.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Camp Courageous of Iowa, or a local humane society in Audrey’s name.
