Audrey Jean Baur (Grote)

On August 8, 2006, Audrey Jean Baur, 77, departed this life after a battle with cancer. Audrey was cremated at her request. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, August 13, 2006, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.
Audrey is survived by her husband Carl of Marion; daughter, Kathy (Randy) Williams of Camanche; son, Eric (Katie) Baur of Marlboro, Massachusetts; sisters, Pat Gibbler of Dixon, Illinois, and Donna Erhenberg of Chicago; brother, Tom Grote of Chicago; and three grandchildren, Daniel, Jason and Rebecca.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Della Grote.
Audrey was born on May 18, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois. She was a stay-at-home mother, Girl Scout leader and worked at several jobs in Marion. She helped many people in many ways on her journey through life.
The family thanks all who helped her have an easier passage through this hard time, especially Hospice of Mercy and their terrific personnel, and Mercy Hospital staff and doctors.
Audrey asked, that in lieu of flowers, that you make a donation to the charity of your choice, or to Cedar Valley Humane Society or Hospice of Mercy.
