Arthur Clayton Kephart, 73, of 1602 Park Avenue SE, died Thursday, October 2, 2003, in his home of a brain aneurysm. Services: 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 6, 2003, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids by the Rev. Gary Dobbins. Friends may call from 1-2 p.m., prior to service. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Emma; a daughter, Suzan D. Horton of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Larry B. Kephart and Harley J. Kephart.
Arthur was born February 4, 1930, the son of Harley J. and Mamie Ann Kephart in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He married Emma Thiessen in Cedar Rapids in 1951. Arthur worked with the parks department for the City of Cedar Rapids. He served in the U.S. Army for four years and was a member of the American Legion, Handford Post #5. Arthur will be greatly missed.
